Dragonfly Gallery News for members

Members with goods to sell may be interested in this opportunity. The exhibitions and shop offer all of us a chance  to see the work of others and possibly make purchases.

'As part of a move to improve attractions at Wayland House and shopping opportunities in the town, the Dragonfly Gallery opening times have been extended until December 15th. The next exhibition is Christmas Craft Week from November 17th to 24th. This will be followed by the Christmas Exhibition (Mixed Media) of 2 and 3D art from Dec 1st to 15th. You may not be aware that we also run a shop at all times when the Gallery is open, selling items made by local craftspeople. During exhibitions it is accommodated in a reduced space but currently, as there is no exhibition on, it has been extended to fill the whole Gallery. We hope to make this larger display a regular feature between exhibitions. Of particular interest to members of Hackers is the opportunity to add any items made by yourselves to the items on sale. The Gallery will take a commission on sales. If you have surplus items, or make anything that you feel would make an attractive gift, why not call in at the Wayland House Office and speak to Susan or Jan about putting them on display.'
